Cafepress

Cafepress was the first print on demand site I began designing for. My store there originally belonged to my Sister-In-Law but she turned it over to me after a few years. It's still got a few of her designs for sale as well as the name she gave it: Sharedwing. The basic process goes like this: I create a design and upload it to the site. Next I select from range of products they have available and add it to the store for people to purchase. When the item is ordered, Cafepress takes the money, prints the design on the product, and mails it off. I take no active part in this process and never have to worry about managing stock, machinery breaking down, or buying enough postage.

As I said, they've got a whole lot of products available for sale. Mostly I do t-shirts, but they've got posters, pillows, bags, all kinds of things. In fact, they've got so many items available that I don't even know about. You see, sales have never been all that reliable through Cafepress and I mostly just keep my store there open for sentimental reasons. It's got a lot of my early work. Designs that I haven't bothered to upload to my newer stores on better websites. Still, if you want to check it out, feel free.

My designs are in the God Knows... section, simply because I had no idea what I'd be throwing in there at the time. Not the work I'm proudest of, to be completely honest. I think I started to get a better idea of what I was doing by the time I started a new store on Zazzle.
